General Rules:

  • This is for fanfiction only. There are plenty of other communities for the other stuff.

  • Any type of fanfiction is welcome. Het, slash, drabble, epic, one-shot. All of it!

  • Recommendations are more than welcome.

  • Though we're still hashing out where Addison-only fics are supposed to go, anything to do with Private Practice belongs at pp_fic.

  • Flames, trolls, etc. are not tolerated. If you hate the pairing or concept, don't click the link.

  • If you need to contact a mod, email ga.fanfic@gmail.com. Do not send us private messages through the LJ system.

Posting Rules:

  • The community is fully moderated. This means that all posts need to be reviewed by a moderator before being posted. Mods are occasionally asleep or at work or otherwise not at their computers, so please don't panic if your post isn't approved immediately.

  • If your post is rejected, a moderator will let you know what needs to be fixed.

  • All fics, regardless of length, must be under an LJ-cut.

  • All fics must be tagged properly for the sake of organization. If the one you're looking for totally doesn't exist (it's a pairing no one's written before, or you're a new author), don't panic: a mod will create that for you as soon as your post is put through.

  • For chapter fics (otherwise known as serials or WiPs [works in progress]): All chapters must have a minimum word count of 1,500 words. In the event that your chapter ends itself at 500, it's completely acceptable to post two chapters in the same post.

  • There's no word minimum for one-shots.

  • All fics must have properly-formatted headers (see below).

Header Guidelines:

  • All headers MUST contain: Title, Author, Pairing, Rating, Summary (brief!), Disclaimer.

  • The disclaimer necessity is waived if you post elsewhere and that outside community/journal has a suitable disclaimer somewhere on it. This is to cover everyone's ass in the case of a bored entertainment copyright lawyer stumbling on us. Please use the disclaimer below or one similar. "Not mine" or "If I owned this, Addison would still be on Grey's" are not actual disclaimers.

  • All author's notes should be behind the cut.

  • DO NOT make the entire header big, huge and/or purple (or orange, green, whatever). Leave the size and color formatting up to the particular settings of a person's f-page.

  • If you have a chapter fic and there are more than three prior chapters and you want to link previous chapters, please either do so behind the cut, list them out horizontally or use a table.

  • Any requests for feedback are considered to be an automatically-rejectable addition to your header. People will or won't give feedback depending on how they feel, not whether you ask for it.

  • Standard disclaimer: All television shows, movies, books, and other copyrighted material referred to in this work, and the characters, settings, and events thereof, are the properties of their respective owners. As this work is an interpretation of the original material and not for-profit, it constitutes fair use. Reference to real persons, places, or events are made in a fictional context, and are not intended to be libelous, defamatory, or in any way factual.
